Our Local Offer

Every child is respected and treated as an individual to ensure their needs are met.

We are able to accommodate children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Our ground floor is wheelchair accessible and with one step into the building. However  the main garden at the rear of the nursery has several steps leading to it.  Children aged 3 months to 3 years are cared for on the ground floor. Children from 3 to 5 years are cared for on the first floor which is accessed by a flight of stairs. There are also steps on this floor leading to the bathroom.

We have experience of working with children with a range of special educational and medical needs. We have experience in communication and interaction, physical and sensory impairment, behaviour and social and emotional development, learning and medical needs.

We have experience supporting children for whom English is not their first language. We will always celebrate and reflect the different cultures within our nursery.

When We Open

We offer places for children from 3 months old to when they start school.

We open from 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

We are open for 51 weeks a year—we close for a week at Christmas.

We close for all public holidays.

(We do not charge for when we are closed.)

What Sessions We Offer

We offer mornings, afternoons and full day session in any available combination, including full time places.

We offer various start and finish times for each session.

Our minimum attendance is three full days.

Meals & Snacks

We cater for a range of dietary needs and allergies.

The morning session includes snack and lunch.

The afternoon session includes snack and tea.

Full day sessions include all snacks and meals.

Our Enhanced Provision

We have a visiting French teacher who works with the children each week. The children gain confidence in speaking French very quickly and it is a wonderful to see the children sharing what they have been learning with their parents.

We have a visiting forest school leader who works with the children to explore the outdoor environment. The children have opportunities to cook outdoors, investigate mini beasts, make dens and collect natural materials.

We try to alternate the days of our visiting teachers each term so all children benefit from the experiences they offer.

The children have regular outings to the field, park, library, local shops and the local area.

We offer all types of funded sessions.

The funding pays for hours of attendance in the nursery and we charge for what is not included in the funding: enhanced provision, meals and snacks and consumables including nappies, sunscreen, all craft supplies and resources.

Childcare Vouchers

We accept all types of childcare vouchers which help towards meeting the cost of nursery sessions, including Tax Free Childcare which is available through the Government Gateway.
